Once In A Lullaby
|

Celebrate one of the greatest
motion pictures of the 20th century,
"The Wizard of Oz" with this unreleased painting featuring Judy
Garland.
Celebrated artist Raymond Simon captures the innocence and dreams of a
childlike Judy Garland. The work invokes a sincere, heartfelt response
as the young Garland looks up, her beautiful eyes full of aspirations,
hopes and dreams. |
| |
| Subtly echoing the motion picture,
the painting begins in black and white and subtly blends into color. At
the bottom of the painting, lies a pair of empty ruby slippers that reflect
the challenges of loneliness, grief and the absence of true love she has
faced throughout her life. Her face gently fades into a pure white background,
as do the days of innocence gone by. |
| |
| Added to the painting is a spectrum
of color gently placed above her eye. The artist's interpretation of the
rainbow is the ongoing struggle found deep within all of us, and the dreams
that you dare to dream, really do come true... "In land that I heard
of, Once in a Lullaby" |

| "This painting is a
tribute to Judy Garland, and the part of her life that is in all of us." |
